MILWAUKEE - Andrew Rowsey reached the 2,000-point mark in his NCAA career and Sam Hauser added 19 points as Marquette posted a 70-52 victory over DePaul on Monday evening at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Hauser's game-high mark came a contest after tying a career-high with 30 points in Marquette's loss at Butler on Friday night. Rowsey posted 11 points for the Golden Eagles (13-6, 4-3 BIG EAST), as did Theo John, which was a career high for the freshman from Minneapolis.

Rowsey scored his 2,000th career point on a free throw with 12:36 left in the first half. The redshirt senior tallied 1,244 points in two seasons at UNC Asheville and is one of less than 600 players to reach the mark in NCAA history. Rowsey has scored just under 800 points in his season and a half with Marquette - no player in MU history has reached 2,000 points (career scoring leader Jerel McNeal had 1,985 points in Blue & Gold).

Hauser led all players with 11 at the break, while Jamal Cain added eight, including five points in the final minute on a corner triple and dunk in transition.

Brandon Cyrus led DePaul (8-10, 1-5 BIG EAST) with 15 points.

The Golden Eagles take a respite from league action and remain off until a Wednesday, Jan. 24 game at No. 11/12 Xavier.
