MILWAUKEE - Sam Hauser's 24 points led five Marquette players in double figures as the Golden Eagles took down St. John's, 85-73, on Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. 

The Golden Eagles (16-11, 7-8 BIG EAST) led by just four points at the half, but used hot shooting in the second frame to hand St. John's its first loss in five games.

MU hit its first four 3-pointers of the second half and 61.5 percent (8-of-13) from deep in the stanza as the Golden Eagles led by as many as 20 after the break.

Senior guard Andrew Rowsey posted 19 points and eight assists, while Sacar AnimJamal Cain and Greg Elliott had 11 apiece.

Shamorie Ponds, who entered the game averaging over 30 points per game during SJU's four-game winning streak, scored a team-high 19 points for the Red Storm (14-14, 3-12 BIG EAST). 

Marquette returns to the road to face DePaul on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Chicago before heading to Georgetown for a Monday night tip in Washington, D.C.
