MILWAUKEE - Tyler Wideman scored a career-high 23 points as Butler defeated Marquette, 81-61, on Wednesday evening at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Markus Howard scored a game-high 26 points for the Golden Eagles (13-9, 4-6 BIG EAST), who have now dropped three-straight games heading into National Marquette Day this weekend.

Wideman was joined by four other BU players in double digits as classmate Kelan Martin and sophomore Kamar Baldwin scored, 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Redshirt sophomore Sacar Anim scored a career-best 15 points for MU, but guard Andrew Rowsey was held scoreless for the first time this season on 0-of-6 shooting.

The Golden Eagles resume conference action against Providence on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Central time at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
