MILWAUKEE - In its final tuneup prior to BIG EAST Conference play, Sam Hauser scored 29 and Andrew Rowsey posted 19 as Marquiette cruised to a 92-51 win over American at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

The Golden Eagles (9-3) hit 14-of-28 from 3-point range, led by a career-high seven makes from deep by Hauser. Markus Howard added 10 points, while MU got nine points apiece from young big men Theo John and Harry Froling. John also posted six rebounds and a pair of blocks, while Froling added seven rebounds and four assists after playing just three minutes in his Marquette debut on Monday evening. 

American (3-8), which hit just 35.4 percent from the floor (17-of-48), was led by 12 points from Larry Motuzis and 11 from Sa'eed Nelson.

The Golden Eagles will return to their respective homes for a holiday break before returning to Milwaukee for MU's BIG EAST opener against No. 9/8 Xavier on Wednesday, Dec. 27 at 7:30 p.m. CT.
