WASHINGTON - Sam Hauser and Andrew Rowsey each scored 28 points in 43 minutes as Marquette overcame a double digit deficit to top Georgetown, 90-86, in overtime on Monday evening at Capital One Arena.

Rowsey scored nine points in overtime to lift the Golden Eagles (17-12, 8-9 BIG EAST), including a step-back jumper to take the lead with 34 seconds remaining. He hit a pair of free throws after a missed shot by the Hoyas and Georgetown was unable to score over the final 11 seconds.

Hauser, who began the game 7-of-7 from 3-point range before missing his final shot from deep, hit a baseline jumper with just three seconds remaining in regulation to put MU ahead, 88-86. But Jonathan Mulmore raced the length of the court to send the game into overtime tied at 88.

Rowsey recorded the second double-double of his Marquette career in the win with 10 assists to go along with his 28 points.

Marquette also tied a program record set earlier this season with 18 3-pointers, while the Hoyas went 24-of-29 from the charity stripe, compared to MU's 8-of-11 mark.

The Hoyas (15-13, 5-12 BIG EAST) were led by 25 points from Jessie Govan.

The Golden Eagles will close out the regular season against Creighton Saturday in their final game at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, which is shutting its doors after 30 seasons of MU basketball.
